Soul Sharing - Gmail and Cockpit

By now, most of the Gmail users would've enabled the tabbed inbox configuration.

For emails, I conceived of a somewhat similar (though technically and practically I must admit, it could be tougher) arrangement quite a few years (more than 6 years) back. We would all agree, Gmail team has done this job beautifully though it's 2013 :).

While we couldn't execute the email stuff back then, what we've done with daily planning for an individual is very much the same as Gmail's execution of tabbed inbox. Care to find out the soul-sharing? Order a copy of Cockpit now! 814 000 2228.

  1. Sometimes our ideas are either ahead of time or they do not get enough legs to see them through. It hits us when the same idea is brought forward by someone else and made a grand success.

I went through your octamail idea and it was wonderful for you have thought that like that six years back. No wonder, the cockpit planner has come from none other than you!

Keep thinking...the world needs thinkers who create something new!

    Cheers.

    1. Kunal, thank you for going through the post and the octamail document. I had a glimpse of an opportunity back then to implement that. But the powers that be typically see younger chaps as cocky :). Let's see what we can do with Cockpit. Awareness-building is a steep climb from where I am.

  2. I remember you mentioning about the idea you had for the email, and also mentioned that it was better than gmail of that time.
    Unfortunately, it didn't materialize.
But all the best for Cockpit.
